It is to begin a journey of immersion that has been entirely created by the Michelin-starred restaurant group to distract you from the world outside and shift your focus to one of revelry, inventive dishes and decadence. If you were after a low-key Sunday night Cantonese, this is not the place for you. However if you want an experience, rather than just a meal, look no further.
We weave our way around the maze of tables and are seated at our own, beside people already settled and sipping on experimental cocktails or tucking into vibrantly coloured dishes. You do find ferociously uploading photos here because, of course, but this is one of the few places in the capital where style is not a substitute for substance, more an aperitif.
Must-haves include the dim sum, which come in an array of colours, shapes and textures, with flavour combinations including pan-fried wagyu beef dumpling with water chestnut, gold leaf lychee and lobster dumplings and langoustine har gau with Prunier caviar.
