Stewart landed her breakout role in the Twilight franchise opposite Robert Pattinson in 2008, but it was her post-Twilight years that she really came into herself. At that point, she starred in mostly indie films — Clouds of Sils Maria, Personal Shopper, Still Alice — in which she was a standout.
Stewart’s personal life, too, is the stuff of Hollywood legend. Her off-screen romance with Pattinson ended in 2013, and since then, Stewart has been dating what seems to be a series of the planet’s coolest women, among them French singer Soko, model Stella Maxwell, and singer St. Vincent. In 2017, she came out publicly on Saturday Night Live in an iconic monologue in which she clarified that she is “so gay.
