The Yarmouth U12 Gateway Girls are the 2023 Baseball Nova Scotia Tier 1 provincial champions.Memorial ride honours veterans and support PTSD sufferers | SaltWireYARMOUTH, NS – The Yarmouth U12 Gateway Girls are the Baseball Nova Scotia Tier 1 provincial champions following the team’s championship win in Amherst.
The provincial tournament was held Sept. 1-3 and featured four teams: Yarmouth; Tri County ; Amherst, and Oxford.On Saturday, Sept. 2, the Gateways defeated Oxford 1-0 in a pitcher’s duel. Ever Pyne lead the way with 12 strikeouts. The game winning hit in extra innings was by Gracie Corporong.After round robin play the Gateways were seeded in 1st place.
In the Championship game the Gateways defeated the Tri -County Rangers 13-3 to become the 2023 12U Tier 1 Provincial Champions!
