The Yarmouth Chris Scott Construction 15UAA Gateways are the 2023 Baseball Nova Scotia Tier 1 provincial champions and will represent Nova Scotia at Atlantics Sept. 15-17.Memorial ride honours veterans and support PTSD sufferers | SaltWireYARMOUTH, NS – The Yarmouth Chris Scott Construction 15UAA Gateways are the 2023 Baseball Nova Scotia Tier 1 provincials champions.
There were 6 teams at this provincial tournament, held Sept. 1-3 at Weir Field in Upper Sackville. The competing teams were Yarmouth; Tri County ; East Hants; Truro; Amherst and Stellarton.The Gateways defeated Amherst Friday, Sept. 1, by a score of 4-3.After round robin play the Gateways were seeded in 1st place.
In the semi-final game the Gateways defeated 4th place Amherst 7-4 to advance to the championship game. In the championship final the Gateways defeated the East Hants Nationals 8-2 to become the 2023 15UAA Tier 1 Provincial Champions. The Gateways will be representing Nova Scotia at the 15UAA Atlantics in Stellarton, Nova Scotia being held Sept 15-17.
