The snow at Fernie has been absolutely incredible this season. As good as anywhere in the Rockies. And conditions could get even better.
“I just heard refer to it as another day of Fernie-as-usual: Incredible,” said Matt Mosteller, senior vice-president of marketing and resort experience at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, which owns Fernie.This isn’t the first time we’ve written about the snow at Fernie this winter, so we’ll move on to what spring has in store quickly here, but here are the basics. So far this season, Fernie’s season total is sitting at 668 cm.
There are too many to list really, but guests who like a little après fun can check out live music at the Griz Bar every weekend, as well as a wine pairing dinner at Cirque Restaurant on March 18, Music lovers will want to check out Ricky Diamonds on March 17 at the Griz Bar, where he’ll be performing as part of Fernie Stoke Fest.Article content
There’s a tonne going on during the days this spring, too. There’s a Raging Elk Kinky Rail Jam event on March 18, the Dirty Dancer Banked Slalom race on March 25-26, a Retro Weekend presented by Banded Peak Brewery on April 1-2 and, of course, the season-ending Fernival on April 15-16.
