P.E.I. voters will head to the polls on April 3.

An election will be held on April 3.WINSLOE, P.E.I. — Progressive Conservative leader Dennis King has pre-empted a spring budget, along with Tuesday's sitting of the P.E.I. legislature, with an early election call.
King also said a"quick update" conducted by his team that morning found his government had fulfilled most promises made in his party's 2019 election platform. But he also said his government has initiated long-needed reforms to the delivery of health care, such as the Pharmacy Plus program and a network of collaborative medical practices known as medical homes.
Liberal leader Sharon Cameron said her party plans to make health care its top issue in the election. "But I'm also hearing about cost of living. I'm hearing about the housing crisis. There's a lot of people pissed off about how little protection this government has offered to our beaches and our rivers and waterways," Bevan-Baker told SaltWire Network in an interview.He said he believed King's leadership on health care has been"notoriously absent" during his term in government.
