Thousands of Nova Scotians flocked to the Scotiabank Centre to see Sidney Crosby up close on Monday but the Ottawa Senators denied him a fairy-tale finish.
Crosby also reiterated how much he wanted to savour every moment he was home and said again how important it is to him never to forget his roots. "I just tried to enjoy it," Crosby said."I've been on the other side of it playing for Rimouski against the Mooseheads and it wasn't always as welcoming so I just tried to soak it in tonight. It was nice. I can't thank them enough for the reception and just the atmosphere of the game and the environment. It was pretty special."
