Sidney Crosby is taking his teammates on quite a tour of Nova Scotia. The Pittsburgh Penguins captain is the unofficial host for his team's weekend trip to ...
"I was definitely feeling the pressure," Crosby said."I wanted to make sure the guys enjoyed it. It's a great place but with so much going on you want to allow them to see parts of the city. A lot of times we go to places and you see the hotel and the rink. You don't really get to see anything within the city so I just tried to give them that opportunity and hopefully they enjoyed it.
"I'm really proud of my home and what it has to offer and the people here," he added."With all the different spots the guys got to go, hopefully they got a little sense of the place here." Drake Batherson of New Minas will be in the lineup for the Sens and there's a realistic chance Dartmouth's Matt Highmore will also suit up. He dressed for Ottawa's pre-season game against the Florida Panthers in Sydney on Sunday so it stands to reason he'll do the same in his hometown.
"It's surreal to be back here playing in an NHL game tonight in Cape Breton and tomorrow in Halifax. The hospitality has been unbelievable, people here and the way they treat you is unbelievable. Guys are seeing that first hand."
