Pieces were discovered while police were assisting bylaw officers in the 900 block of Pandora Avenue

Victoria police discovered 13 Indigenous carvings and masks while assisting bylaw officers in the 900 block of Pandora Avenue on Thursday morning.

Police, who often accompany bylaw officers during regular morning cleanups along Pandora Avenue, believe the items were stolen in a recent break and enter and are looking to locate the owner of the art pieces. VicPD said in a statement that officers ensured the items were handled in a culturally sensitive manner.
