A man has been arrested following an investigation into child luring and child pornography in Pickering.
This month Durham Police’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation into a man who was communicating with an underage girl.Police say they communicated through the application ChatIW using the screen name “Genini” and through SnapChat with the username ‘On Wednesday, officers went to a home in the Kingston Road and Brock Road area, to arrest the suspect and execute a search warrant.
Richard Ramnarine, 46 from Pickering is charged with: Luring to Facilitate the Offence of Sexual Assault, Luring to Facilitate the Offence of Making Child Pornography, and Making Child Pornography.Police are concerned there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward.
