Nissan Achieves 1 Million EV Sales
It took a little bit longer than Tesla, but Nissan has arrived. The Japanese automaker whose LEAF was one the symbol of the transition to electrification has reachedThose 1 million sales don’t all belong to the Nissan LEAF. The LEAF was later joined by the Nissan Ariya and the Nissan Sakura — both in 2022.
So far, the LEAF has had more than 650,000 sales across the globe. Regarding the less common EVs in Nissan’s stable, the Ariya is likely to surpass the LEAF’s sales eventually — but it may take a while. Here’s what Nissan had to write about the Ariya and the Sakura:
