His stance on stopping the never-ending extension of bike lanes – including in Etobicoke – helped him win theSpeaking of endorsements, former Toronto Sun columnist Anthony Furey picked up two significant ones this week.
“It’s been over a decade of this, and the people of Toronto have politely accepted delay after delay, poor communication, gridlock and harm to businesses along a major street,” Furey said.”echoing calls here in the Sun for Metrolinx boss Phil Verster to be fired. “I am calling on the provincial government to reign in this rogue agency and fire Phil Verster,” Bradford said, adding that as mayor he would fire anyone with such a poor record.
Metrolinx has failed to deliver on the Eglinton Crosstown. With Queen St about to close for 5 years, it could be a death blow to our downtown.
