It was where you went first thing in the morning — 8 a.m. or 8:30 a.m.,” recalled Ryan. “You’d get there before the park opened up and the supervisors showed up and just wait.
“I told them it was because that’s what they taught me. And they said ‘What do you mean? We never volunteered.’” She recalls how when her husband, who had spent most of his professional career working as a pharmacy manager, ended up working in Northern Canada.
