The win, along with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan’s 7-4 victory over the Moncton Wildcats, kept Eagles’ hopes for finishing in third place in the Eastern Conference alive. The Eagles, who are 38-26-1-2 , need one point to clinch fourth place and home-ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs. Ross Campbell of Souris, P.E.I., contributed a goal and an assist to round out the Islanders’ scoring. Alexis Michaud and Carl-Etienne Michel added single helpers.
