CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Isaac Vos credits his steady and improved play in Year 2 with the Charlottetown Islanders to one thing.

“In particular, after Christmas, is when you look for guys to go to another level, and he’s done that. To me, the attributes that made him such a good player in , you are starting to see shine now because he has that two-second patience with the puck that maybe earlier in his career he didn’t have.”“I’m just trying to do what I can to help the boys,” said Vos. “I try to keep it simple, jump in on the offence when I can and keep the puck out of our net.

Michael Horth, with his 32nd goal of the season, also scored for the Islanders, who received assists from Owen Conrad and Marcus Kearsey.“I thought we were a little bit dopey in the first period, but once we got the engine started, we were much better as we went on,” said Hulton. “Tight checking, low-scoring, that’s playoff hockey, and our special teams were pretty prominent; six of seven on the penalty kill and two for three on the power play, and those are earmarks of playoff hockey.

Titan general manager and head coach Gordie Dwyer of Stratford, P.E.I., liked his team’s play in the first period but noted Acadie-Bathurst ran into penalty trouble in the middle frame.
