“It’s been a long stretch away from our own rink with practice times and games ,” said Islanders general manager and head coach Jim Hulton. “With only three home games left on the docket, it’s nice to be back.“With only three home games left on the docket, it’s nice to be back. In the playoff hunt, every game is important, and these two coming up are especially so.”The Islanders, who sit at 24-30-6-1 , enter this week’s play in the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.
The Sea Dogs are ninth in the conference, six points behind the Islanders, who had won five games in a row before their recent slide.
