“He’s looking good so far, doing everything right to this point,” Walker said of Kikuchi.
“Overall, I think I’m using all the pitches efficiently,” Kikuchi said. “I wanted to attack the hitters with my fastball and felt I was able to attack the zone much more aggressively today.”The big league education for Ricky Tiedemann continued on Tuesday as he got a taste of what a seasoned big league hitter can do to a pitcher — young or old.
Unbothered by the one that got away, Tiedemann came back in his second inning and needed just six pitches to retire the side. In fact, manager John Schneider said Guerrero soon will do some light hitting work in the batting cage back at the team’s player development complex.
