Blue Jays' Alek Manoah adds speed to his repertoire Via longleysunsport
Manager John Schneider has been impressed with Manoah’s work to use tempo as an advantage, both in his two starts and in bullpen work.
“I think he’s one of the guys who will be able to manipulate it once he gets comfortable with it,” Schneider said. “For one, he’s really smart and we’d like to think we have a pretty good game plan for him. He’s evolving as he goes.”Given the daily improvement, it certainly doesn’t look like the minor knee injury Vlad Guerrero Jr. suffered last week will keep him out of action for long.
Schneider said Guerrero did some light hitting in the cage on Wednesday as well as running in a straight line and fielding easy grounders.
