You can now get a V-8 in your Land Rover Defender 130.
The 5.0-liter V-8 joins the two turbo straight-six engines already available for the Defender 130, promising 450 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds. The Defender 130 V8 also gets quad exhaust tips, a sliding panoramic roof, LED headlights, and 22-inch grey alloy wheels. Inside you'll find 14-way power seats with heating and cooling functions, a heated steering wheels, a head-up display, and heated seats for the back two rows.
Also new for 2024 is the Defender 130 Outbound. A sort of overlanding special, it deletes the third row in favor of more storage space for things like camping, climbing, or biking gear. It also gets 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires as standard. Speaking of V-8-powered Land Rovers, the new Range Rover Sport SVR was just spotted at the Nürburgring with its roaring eight-cylinder powertrain. So if luxury is more your speed, it might be worth waiting for.
