Any lingering smoke should move out of the region Friday evening
This coming long weekend will see warmer temperatures and lots of sunshine across the region. The smoke will also exit the Sault area with a light northwesterly breeze. For Canada Day, we will see mostly clear skies, light winds and comfortable temperatures to watch the fireworks. The only blemish this weekend will be a slight chance for an isolated shower on Saturday — but if it happens where you are, it won't last long.
Isolated showers are possible Friday, but many locations will stay dry. We will see sunny breaks between the clouds as temperatures hit 25°C. Any lingering smoke should move out of the region in the evening. Morning fog and clouds should give way to some afternoon sun on Saturday as daytime highs climb to 27°C. There remains a small risk of an isolated shower in the late afternoon. Weak northwest winds and temperatures in the upper teens will be in place at sunset for the fireworks.
We could see more fog Sunday morning, but the rest of the day brings a mix of sun and cloud with daytime highs of 24°C. Monday will be mostly sunny and near calm as temperatures climb to 28°C.
