Toronto has a lot going on this Canada Day long weekend. Here’s a sampling of what’s on.The Aga Khan Museum is bringing a culturally diverse array of musicians, dancers and artists together for the four-day, which runs at the museum, Aga Khan Park and the Ismaili Centre of Toronto from Friday through Monday.
This weekend’s events include free daytime performances by Japanese taiko drumming group Nagata Shachu and the Sounds of Afghanistan choir. There will be ticketed evening performances from the Halluci Nation, Salim-Sulaiman, Balaklava Blues and others. The museum is offering free admission to its collections gallery all weekend, including on Canada Day.
Haneen Choir and Trash Panda Brass will accompany dance lessons at Mel Lastman Square from noon to 6 p.m.
