The Hawks outgained O’Connor 389-325 in total yards in a 24-14 loss, but three turnovers hurt. Brennan defeated Harlan 48-10. However, Brennan has outscored in three district opponents — Harlan, Taft and O’Connor — by a combined 143-29 score. Clark has won three in a row since Reagan beat the Cougars 35-10 in the district opener. Senior running back Chris Goertz has rushed for 919 yards and 12 touchdowns on 125 carries.Highlands has won three of its past four, with the loss a 49-23 setback to Alamo Heights four weeks ago. The Owls are rested after an open date. Highlands beat Jefferson 42-19 in its last game. Willie Gaskin rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.
