While this isn’t the northern lights that were on display for parts of Atlantic Canada earlier this week, Sandy McAuley said this scene almost makes up for it.

This beautiful sunrise was captured in West Covehead, P.E.I., featuring a sun pillar thanks to ice crystals falling through the air. Sandy said the pillar seemed to be pointing towards a storm system that was in the forecast. Great photo, Sandy. Thanks for sharing.
