UnsplashThe province is on a path to bring quality internet to Nova Scotia residents by the end of 2023, and David Benoit wants to make sure Pictou County residents know they might qualify for a satellite rebate.

“The satellite rebate program is one of the ways that people who either don't have internet access right now or are waiting for the Internet for Nova Scotia Initiative to finish,” Benoit explained. “They can go ahead and apply for a satellite rebate program.” “But in November, we expanded it to include people who are waiting for the project to deliver,” he said.“It's a really great program that's very easy to apply for,” Benoit said.Build Nova Scotia has partnered with Starlink on this particular program and Benoit said he believes that the cost has consistently come in at less than $1,000 per household.
