The Cape Breton Capers will host the 2023 U Sports Women's Final 8 Basketball Championship this week at Sullivan Field House in Sydney. CONTRIBUTED - ContributedSYDNEY, N.S. - The U Sports Women's Final 8 Championship will feature the battle of Ontario for the national title on Sunday in Sydney.
The contest will be a rematch of the Critelli Cup, the Ontario University Athletics championship, where the Ravens defeated the Gaels 70-57 to win the league title. Kali Pocrnic led the way with a game-high 17 points, while Kyana Jade Poulin had 11 points, and Jacqueline Urban and Zerina Duvnjak, off the bench, had eight points each for the Ravens.
