St. Anthony RCMP said officers from several detachments raided a home in the community on Wednesday, seizing a quantity of drugs, cash, contraband cigarettes and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking. A 56-year-old man was charged with one count of trafficking cocaine and was later released to attend court at a later date.
Troy McCarthy appeared in court on Sept. 14 and was charged with trafficking and possession of cocaine, unlawful possession and sale of tobacco, unlawful possession of contraband, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and altering the chemical or physical properties of cannabis.One individual, who was present during the search, was released on scene without charges.
