UPDATED: Two dead after transport truck 'exploded into fireball' on Hwy. 401 in Pickering: OPP
Two people are dead after a transport truck carrying a "highly flammable" liquid lost control and exploded on Highway 401 in Pickering late Tuesday night.
Schmidt said the truck "exploded into a fireball" and the flames spread to an oncoming transport truck and passenger vehicle. "The situation is still very much evolving and ongoing," he said." a lot of investigative work left to be taken care of. an absolutely tragic and horrific scene as first-responders tended to that incident last night," he said.
