Saskatoon police said the stolen vehicle hit a police vehicle as it tried to reverse after entering a ditch.

The incident began when officers responded to a stolen vehicle report in the 100 block of Avenue M South in Pleasant Hill around 8:30 p.m., city police said in a media release.Officers located the vehicle travelling in the area of St. Charles Avenue, in the Exhibition neighbourhood and tried to stop it, but the driver fled and began to drive “erratically,” heading to Clarence Avenue, then Circle Drive before turning onto Grasswood Road, police said.
