The TTC has cancelled a planned closure of Line 1 due to the incoming storm and deployed shuttle busses to priority routes.

The TTC initially said Thursday that subway stations north of Bloor-Yonge to York Mills would not have service on Saturday and Sunday due to signal system upgrades. The stations included Rosedale, Summerhill, St. Clair, Davisville, Eglinton and Lawrence., the transit agency announced Friday that regular service will run on Line 1.

The TTC also said Line 3 Scarborough SRT will close at 7 p.m. and shuttle buses will be deployed. “Storm trains will operate overnight to keep the tracks clear, allowing the line to open as soon as possible tomorrow,” the agency said. Service was halted to 41 bus stops located on hilly areas known as trouble spots during severe weather.

The transit agency said anti-icing and snow-clearing protocols are underway for buses, streetcars and subway divisions.
