Snow is expected to hit Toronto again today as a winter weather travel advisory goes into effect early Friday morning.
Environment Canada is reporting snow fall to begin in the early afternoon and taper off late this evening, accumulating a total of 4 to 8 centimetres with a wind gust of up to 40 km/h, making this the“Widespread snow will push across southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe today. The evening commute will be affected by this snowfall,” Environment Canada said.
There are similar weather advisories in effect for regions York-Durham and Halton-Peel this morning, except the latter will see 10 to 15 cm. As for other regions, Environment Canada issued a significant snowfall warning for Hamilton and Niagara with an expected total accumulation of 10 to 15 cm, and up to 20 cm over higher terrain.
