Statistics Canada to announce Canada’s job numbers for February on Friday morning.

Statistics Canada is set to announce Canada’s job numbers for February on Friday morning, and most economists are expecting a slowdown after two straight months of big gains.

At National Bank Financial, an economics report suggested that the Canadian economy suffered a net loss of 25,000 jobs in February. Arlene Kish, an economist with S&P Global Market Intelligence, said she’s watching for “payback” from January’s outsized gain, and believes the Canadian economy lost 23,200 jobs in February.
