The Scottish SPCA says the animals are now safe and are receiving medical treatment at one of their rescue centres.
More than a dozen tiny puppies have been rescued during a Christmas Day raid in a major operation. Animal welfare teams seized a total of 24 dogs on December 25 with the pooches now receiving vital medical treatment.
Pictures released by the SSPCA show a bundle of tiny puppies in a carrier - with one sporting a bloody-looking ear. Another three babies are pictured snoozing in an adorable fluffy pile.
