Check out the musical lineup for SSO’s 47th season
The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra has revealed its 47th season lineup, a season during which its new artistic director will be revealed.
The first concert, taking place on September 23, will be directed by Michael Hall. He will lead the orchestra through Dvorak’s 9th Symphony, the wonderful “New World.” The third finalist, François Koh has chosen to conduct the Poème for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 25 by Ernest Chausson with Guest soloist Bénédicte Lauzière along with Légendes, opus 76 by Jacques Hétu, which brings some very puzzling Quebec legends to musical life, and, of course, he will also add some selected seasonal favourites.
