Crowds poured out to see the RCMP Musical Ride celebrating the RCMP's 150 anniversary on Aug. 20. The show in Pictou's Hector Arena was the only one in Nova Scotia. The RCMP took this musical ride a bit slower than usual due to the dirt being much softer and loose than what the horses are used to.
Out of concern for the horses' safety, difficult maneuvers were tackled at a much more relaxed speed. Officers showcased a move that was done for Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubilee, amazing the audience with two diamond formations crossing through each other flawlessly.
