Serving Greater Manchester Police officer charged with rape and false imprisonment
Christopher Henderson, 40, has been charged with the two alleged offences, a spokesperson for GMP said today in a statement. He was posted to GMP's City of Manchester district.
Henderson will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today. He continues to be suspended from his duties.A 40-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of rape on Tuesday, February 28. He was taken into custody for further questioning. In a statement, GMP said: "On Tuesday 28 February 2023, a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and was taken into custody for further questioning. On Thursday 2 March 2023, Christopher Henderson who was posted to GMP’s City of Manchester district, has been charged with False Imprisonment and Rape and continues to be suspended.Read more of today's top stories here
