Forecasters are worried about how much atmospheric moisture this tropical system has and how much rainfall it could produce in South-Central Texas.
With a tropical low pressure system roiling in the Gulf of Mexico, the San Antonio metro area will have a chance of rain every day this week. But until we know what becomes of this tropical system, including its heading and its strength, rainfall details for South Texas remain unclear.
Juneteenth and beyond San Antonio’s Juneteenth holiday will likely be a soggy one, with a 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms that could produce heavy rainfall. The cloudy skies will help keep Wednesday temperatures limited to 80 degrees. Northeast winds of 15 to 20 mph could include gusts as strong as 30 mph. The strong rain chances and gusty easterly winds persist into Wednesday night, while temperatures stay above 74 degrees.
