Declan Rice made a young mascot’s dream come true ahead of West Ham’s Premier League clash with Chelsea.GettyThe young West Ham fan has a rare condition called spastic diplegia cerebral palsy and Rice was recently made aware of the child’s dream to walk out as his mascot.
Speaking to the West Ham website ahead of the match, the England midfielder said: “I’ve invited a little lad Ronnie to be my mascot for Saturday’s game. He has a condition which affects his legs, and his splints were covered in pictures of me. “He sent me a video and it really touched me, so I sent him a message and he replied in absolute shock, which took me back. “I have invited Ronnie and his family along so I can meet them all after the game and I hope they all have a really nice day.”
Meanwhile, one of the other mascots behind Ronnie was in a cheeky mood as he played a prank on Chelsea captainin 2006. Well, now the tables have been turned.Thiago Silva just got done by one of the oldest mascot tricks in the book 🤝😂
