Restaurant Brands expands Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes to 40,000 stores
Restaurant Brands International Inc. QSR, +0.82% said Tuesday it is planning to expand its Burger King, Tim Hortons and Popeyes brands to more than 40,000 restaurants around the world, making it one of the biggest restaurant chains in the world. The company currently has about 26,000 restaurants and has grown system-wide sales to more than $32 billion today from $15 billion in 2010, the company said in a statement released ahead of an investor day.
