The efforts of Preston and South Ribble Street Pastors have been rewarded on one of the coldest nights of the year
area. From about 50 volunteers, small teams turn out each weekend in all weathers to provide support for homeless people and assistance to anyone in distress.
The Street Pastors are also famous for their supply of flip flops to those whose footwear was perhaps not the best for a long night out.The Mayor and his Consort were able to assist through the evening and gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by the volunteers.
