MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — It encompasses 103 square miles and is responsible for more than 10-thousand students. The Cumberland Valley School District is a behemoth. In a surprise October announcement, the school board appointing a new superintendent nearly 7-months earlier than expected.
While taxpayers expected to see the position filled sometime in July, the school board said it would save the district time and money. Dr. Blanchard also addressed how the district is helping more than eight-hundred seniors prepare for the real world.
