Apple TV+ has dropped the full Presumed Innocent trailer for its forthcoming limited drama, starring Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal.
The video shows Gyllenhaal as a prosecutor who becomes the prime suspect for the murder of his mistress. It highlights how desperate he is to prove his innocence, which is a difficult thing to do especially when the evidence against him kept piling up. The miniseries will available for streaming starting on June 12 with the first two episodes.
“The series takes viewers on a gripping journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when one of its own is suspected of the crime. The series explores obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love, as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together,” reads the official logline.Based on Scott Turow’s 1987 novel, Presumed Innocent is written and executive produced by showrunner David E. Kelley.
