Apple TV+ has released the Presumed Innocent teaser trailer for its upcoming courtroom thriller, starring Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal.
. It’s his first lead role in a major scripted series three decades after his television debut in a 1994 episode of Homicide: Life on the Street.
The video features Gyllenhaal as Chief Deputy Prosecutor Rusty Sabich, who gets accused of killing his close colleague after evidence begins to point in his direction. The miniseries will start streaming on June 12 with the first two episodes.“The series takes viewers on a gripping journey through the horrific murder that upends the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney’s office when one of its own is suspected of the crime.
Based on Scott Turow’s 1987 novel, Presumed Innocent is written and executive produced by showrunner David E. Kelley. The limited drama will also star Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Renate Reinsve, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, Chase Infiniti, Nana Mensah, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Matthew Alan, and Lily Rabe. In addition to leading the cast, Gyllenhaal is also executive producing alongside Turow, J.J.
