Police are warning owners of early-model Ford Super Duty vehicles to take measures to deter thieves, after two stolen F350s turned up in the Cowichan Valley.

It began when North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP responded to a suspicious occurrence in the 1700-block of Maple Bay Road on March 4, where two trucks were reported to be trespassing on private property. One of the drivers tried to flee, but the 24-year-old man was stopped and he and his 32-year-old female passenger were arrested. A 49-year-old man was also arrested.Brandon Gregoire of Nanaimo, 24, has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and is being kept in custody until his next appearance on March 22.
