The sounds coming out of Laketown Ranch will be echoing across the Cowichan Valley this summer as Laketown Shakedown has just announced its lineup. The three day long event runs Friday, June 30 to Sunday, July 2, and boasts a hearty mix of classic rock acts such as Third Eye Blind, Everlast and dance hall crossover MC Shaggy as well as a solid smattering of Canadian hip hop such as Classfied, K’naan and SonReal. Vancouver’s Bif Naked will be one of the acts kicking the whole festival off, while Danish-Norwegian pop crew Aqua will crank out Barbie Girl to a generation of listeners who weren’t even born when the 1997 hit went multiplatinum.
