While being pursued by Bainbridge Township police, a man wanted by the Geauga sheriff found temporary refuge in a treehouse midnight, July 19. His wife tipped off the pursuing officer when she called 911 to report someone had just driven through her yard and into the woods. That someone was her fleeing husband.
An officer on patrol saw a suspicious truck on the road at midnight July 19. It belongs to a Bainbridge Township man, 42, who had an active arrest warrant through Geauga County Sheriff’s Office. While in pursuit, the vehicle turned onto Bittersweet Trail. Soon after, the subject’s wife called police reporting that someone just drove through her yard and into the woods. That made it easy for the officer to track and find the truck parked next to a tree with a tree house.
