“It was our biggest lunch line,” said North Royalton resident Kulikowski, who has two children currently attending Padua Franciscan High School.
“She said, ‘Help.’ It wasn’t completely audible. Her face was starting to get red, so I screamed for help, threw my arms around her and performed a thrust. By the time my coworker came out from the kitchen, we looked on the ground and there was a plastic water bottle top that had come out.” Currently in her fourth year working at Padua Franciscan High School, Kulikowski received Heimlich maneuver and CPR training while working as a cafeteria worker at St. Columbkille School.
While the student’s name was not disclosed, her mother said, “We’re forever grateful to Mrs. Kulikoswki for her quick thinking and quick reaction.
