Tremploy Inc. is currently located in a building on Raiders Road in Charlottetown but construction has begun on a new home, called the Tremploy Skills Development Centre, in the BioCommons Research Park on Regis Duffy Drive.

Tremploy Inc. is constructing a new building on Regis Duffy Drive in Charlottetown as volunteer staff work to fundraise money to pay for the project, which ran over budget. Pictured are, from left, Steve Loggie, who is volunteering with the fundraising campaign, his daughter, Rachael, who is a client at Tremploy Inc., and Teresa Hennebery, the volunteer chair of the capital fundraising campaign.

“She is a confident and happy person with a social calendar that would be hard to beat," said Loggie, who is volunteering to help raise money for a new project underway with Tremploy. “We sort of thought, ‘what do we do?’’’ said Hennebury, who has been on the volunteer board for the past three years. “We almost chose to put it out to tender again but we were told the prices might come back even higher."As part of its pitch to council on Feb. 27, the board is asking the city for $50,000, spread out over the next five years.
