The energy scheme starts next week
Energy supplier OVO will join a National Grid scheme which could see its customers with smart meters earn up to £100.
The trial will see three types of notification, two of which will be exclusive to OVO customers and will alert participants of the days and times the grid is most likely to see demand. Initially, the scheme will run from December 8 to March 31, 2023. It is open to 15,000 OVO customers, but this figure planned to increase after the first month.
Additionally, people hoping to join cannot be part of OVO's existing Power Move trial which is running until March 2023.
