MIDDLE MUSQUODOBOIT, N.S. — Nova Scotia RCMP has officially opened a new $2.5 million police detachment in Middle Musquodoboit.

The newly built North Central RCMP station is located along Highway 224 and will act as a hub for law enforcement to better coordinate emergency response efforts, investigations, and community outreach initiatives. Plans are in place for the detachment to host various community engagement programs and events to help build and bolster trust and collaboration, building on an open house hosted by the station in September.

"The North Central RCMP Detachment is a testament to our commitment in promoting public safety by being present and engaged within our communities,” says Halifax District RCMP chief superintendent Jeffrey Christie.
