East Pointers win three Music P.E.I. Awards

Alison Jenkins • The GuardianCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The East Pointers were the big winners at this year’s P.E.I. Music Awards Party, taking home three awards, including album of the year.
Atlantic String Machine, the five-person string group, won instrumental recording of the year and achievement in classical music. “It’s an interesting album, we’re really proud of it because everything we wrote ourselves,” said Natalie Williams Calhoun, cellist with the group, when she spoke to SaltWire Network before the show.
In 2018, McTague went to work as the executive assistant to Shania Twain, and the country music star sent a video acknowledging McTague’s work.
